ibis Edinburgh Centre Royal Mile - Hunter Square

The location of the hotel is excellent. I felt very safe throughout my stay, and getting around was extremely easy. It’s right next to Royal Mile, and thanks to its perfect location I could reach everywhere I wanted within minutes. The property was clean and well maintained. I didn’t purchase breakfast or have breakfast at the property, but the service at the bar was great and available throughout the day and night. Everyone working here was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely supportive. I’d like to thank each of them again for their kindness and help. I highly recommend this place to anyone.

Loved our time here! Really appreciated the staff and the view from our room. It was a bit small but it was good value at a great location. Walkable to the train station and to many fun spots around town, including so much good food! Enjoyed my stay but had to pay up front with no real explanation. I’m not sure why, perhaps because we were not from the UK? But aren’t most tourists? We also got complimentary drinks so that was lovely. Thanks again to the friendly staff here! Keep up the good work

I was very happy with the service from the front desk - always friendly and kind. The room, while small, had everything you would need. The convenient location is within walking distance from all the major locations and within a block or two of many bus lines. The only reason I'd give 4/5 rather than 5/5 is that the room/floor had a faint smell that reminded you of bathrooms, which wasn't the most welcoming thing after a long day exploring.

Great location 5 mins from train station, in the heart of the old town, breakfast was great, rooms were basic but very clean shower was nice and hot. We had a free bottle of Prosecco in our room which was nice. Good sleep comfy bed but maybe could’ve done with an extra pillow. No phone to call reception so we had to pop down as we had no remote control for the tv. Highly recommend for a sleep over and a night out in Edinburgh’s old town

We were just on a two night short stay, and able to check in early as one of our rooms was ready. Reception staff were lovely, very helpful and friendly. Nice, quiet bar area. We didn't eat at the hotel as my friend has complex dietary issues. The hotel and our rooms were spotlessly clean, and rooms were well equipped. The location of the hotel is very good, lots within the Royal Mile, then a short walk along North Bridge to get to Princes Street and Waverley Station. Plenty of eateries and shops very close by. We'd be happy to stay there again.

The Hotel is in a great location for exploring Edinburgh. Albiet a basic room it had all we required. The Reception staff were friendly and spoke where as all other staff did not come across as friendly. The breakfast was a case of you ca have what's on offer as most food areas were empty of close to it and were refilled very very slowly. The Hotel is good, basic, and staff communication and friendliness has a long way to go.

This is my second stay at the ibis Edinburgh Centre Royal Mile. It is in such a great location, in the heart of Edinburgh's Old Town, on Hunter Square and adjacent to the Royal Mile. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from Edinburgh Waverley Station. The staff on Reception were very helpful and welcoming. My room was modest in size, clean and tidy and very comfortable for the night that I stayed. For the activities that I had planned for my two days in Edinburgh, the location was perfect. I could just roll out of the hotel and I was within minutes of everything I had planned around the Royal Mile area. As I wanted to head out and sample some of the cafes around the Royal Mile, I didn't therefore have chance to try the hotel breakfast, but from what I could see it looked good. I would definitely book to stay here again on future visits to Edinburgh Old Town.

Located just off royal mile, this ibis is conveniently located within walking distance of most major attractions within edinburgh. Very good place to stay if you're looking for a budget friendly hotel. All in all a very pleasant experience, the reception staff were very helpful and accommodating, the rooms were good for a hotel this cheap, however, they could use a bit of updating with the decor though.
